Wheel Alignment

Wheel Alignment

It’s a good idea to get your wheels aligned every 6,000 miles or so.  At the very least have this done  every other tire rotation and always when installing new tires.

A Wheel Alignment will help your tires last longer, your vehicle ride smoother, and protect you and your family. You can also save a good bit of money because regular alignments will make your tires last longer and even save on gas by having your vehicle be more efficient.

A Wheel Alignment is part of standard vehicle maintenance consisting of adjusting the angles of the wheels so that they are reset back to the car manufacturer’s original specifications. The purpose of these adjustments is to reduce tire wear, and to ensure that vehicle travel, is straight and true (without “pulling” to one side).

Even the smallest alignment issue can cause uneven tire wear and put your vehicle at risk.  With the hills and rough roads in Lynchburg you’re sure to find your share of bumpy conditions.

If you find your vehicle drifting to one side or the other that is a good indication that your wheels may be out of alignment. Before you call for an appointment though check your tire pressure.  Improperly inflated tires can also cause a vehicle to pull to one side and you can check this on your own or bring it in and we’ll check it for you.  Learn more about how to check your Tire Pressure.  If you your tire pressure looks it may be time to schedule your car for service to have the wheels aligned.
